"Culture Eats Strategy for Breakfast"

"Now it shall come to pass in the latter days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established on the top of the mountains,

And shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.

Many people shall come and say, "Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob;

He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths."

(Isaiah 2:2-4)

“A kingdom is the sovereign rulership

and governing influence of a king, over his territory;

impacting it with his will, his intent, and his purpose;

manifesting a culture and society

reflecting the king’s nature, values, and morals"

(Dr Myles Monroe)

Culture Is Defined by those at the Top;

Movements often Starts by Those at the Bottom

"Change Happens by a Small Number of Change Agents Banding Together".

Culture Changing Strategies

1. Personal transformation is first "Transforming Lives and Raising Leaders" is First

2. Begin to engage the culture through dialogue.

3. We need a biblical theology of work and of calling; for the churches, and the individuals

4. Educate the next generation and encourage careers in 7 mountains sectors.

Christian colleges and universities need a 7 mountain curriculum with industry insiders teaching the courses.

5. Serve the Community

We gain influence when we as the collective Church show unity and generosity to impact social ills in our communities by pastors, intercessors, marketplace leaders...

6. Develop Key Influencer Strategies

Educate and mentor key influencers who are already operating at the top of the mountains

7. Be a Part of a Network

Be a part of a key network which allows to have a collective voice and influence.

Lone rangers cannot take a mountain by themselves.

8. Support Worthy Organizations and Initiatives with Time & Money

9. Conferences to Cast the Vision to the Marketplace Leaders

10. Understand and incorporate repentance and intercession to bring about Revival

We will follow the  God-given, life changing strategy developed in 2012, by Dr. Ralph Dartey;

(General overseer of Transforming Life Center International, based in Ottawa, Canada):

The Ladder of Transformation to Transform Lives and Raise Leaders;

as well as the world-changing strategy developed in 1975, by Bill Bright, founder of

Campus Crusade and Loren Cunningham, founder of Youth With a Mission(YWAM).

The 7 Mountains to bring Godly change to a nation

by transforming its seven spheres, or mountains, of societal influence.

The Ladder of Transformation

is a proven strategy effectively used by Dr. Ralph and his team of leaders to see many lives transformed and many people of all walks of life becoming great leaders in their area of calling

(which included ministry, work, business...).

This strategy will be used in different sector to bring about a deep transformation and personal revival.

The 7 Mountains of Influence

 There are 7 main spheres that influence society, all other influences are contained within these.

Each mountain has controlling spirits assigned to it.

"For we are not fighting against human beings

but against the wicked spiritual forces in the heavenly world,

the rulers, authorities, and cosmic powers of this dark age".

Ephesians 6:12 (GNB)

As our battles are not against people, but against spiritual powers,

it is wisdom to know the character of the enemy.

Ruling powers and spirits always affect the thought life of those under their geographical sphere.

Looking at the mountains individually

will enable us to have a better understanding of its importance, its effect and the ruling spirits.

As we are going to take territory on these mountains this information becomes significant.

Spirituality often also referred to as religion is the belief in and worship of a higher power either God, or the supernatural. Every society has some type of belief in a superior being or beings. There are hundreds of belief groups across the globe, with the four major religions being Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism.

The belief of any group of people provides the cultural framework for their society. In the west, Christianity and Catholicism are predominant, but postmodern views are increasingly being accepted and the concept of God is being rejected.

The family is the heart to our loving, learning, maturing and development as an individual.

In any functional society, the family is the “building block” of the community. Throughout the Bible, you will find familial examples that portray how we ought to live our lives today. God desires that men, women, and children within a family be united as one in His love. After all, He is the ultimate Father (Romans 8:14-17).

Families have been under constant and prolonged attack. Today, the assailants are fatherlessness, divorce (50% rate in secular and Christian marriages), abuse, homosexual marriage, pornography, and other negative influences have brought great dysfunction in our nation. God is calling fathers and mothers (both spiritual and biological) to bring order to the chaos that the enemy has unleashed against families in Canada. He also wants to bring healing to marriages and relationships within families in order to maintain a moral foundation for children in the future to stand upon.

This mountain encompasses all structured education both public and private. Education is vital in society for the passing on of knowledge, skills and values. Most countries have a structured process for the acquiring and imparting of this knowledge, through schooling systems. At one time the education system unapologetically incorporated the Bible, prayer to the God of the Bible, and biblical values in every aspect of school life. Not coincidentally, this system produced a people that produced powerful and prosperous nations. Now, the children of our nation are inundated with liberal ideologies, atheistic teaching and postmodern principles in our public schools and in most universities (including many Christian institutions). Put simply; they are being indoctrinated with often false, biased and anti-biblical information. A re-introduction of biblical truth and Bible-centric values is the key to renewal and restoration in Canada’s failing educational system.

Government is the structure that governs or rules a body of people. It establishes conformity through rules, laws and regulations for the benefit of the community. Proverbs 14:34 states that, “righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” Many times, as exemplified in the Old Testament, a nation’s moral standards are dependent on those exhibited by its leaders (or predominant political party). While each individual is responsible for his or her own sins; the fact remains that people are greatly influenced by those moral (or lack thereof) that popular leaders adopt. The progressive liberal agenda, empowered by well-known men and women in the arts and entertainment industries, have made significant gains in the political arena over the past few decades. In fact, many liberal groups seek to remove anything related to God or Christianity from the governmental and educational systems because of a misapplied interpretation of the phrase, “separation of church and state.” To bring transformation, the goal is to put in place righteous political leaders that will positively affect all aspects of government.

Economy originally related to the management of a household, but now includes the management of the production, distribution and consumption of the communities’ resources, goods and services. It further includes the business and the trading of those, commodities. The ability to literally create wealth through ingenuity, enterprise, creativity and effort is a God-given gift and a universal impulse. The markets and economic systems that emerge whenever people are free to pursue buying and selling become the lifeblood of a nation. This includes anything from farms to small businesses to large corporations. Of course this realm is prone to corruption through idolatry, greed and covetousness. In response, the Body of Christ must embrace its responsibility to train up those who are called into the marketplace to manage businesses and provide leadership with integrity and honesty. We believe it is the Lord’s will to make his people prosperous and that He desires for His Church to use its wealth to finance the work of Kingdom expansion. Simply put: Prosperity with a purpose.

"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isa 5:29).

“Whoever controls the media controls the culture.” (Francis Schaeffer)

The media mountain includes news sources such as radio, TV, news stations, newspapers, Internet news, mobile phones, opinion, (blog) sites and etc. The media has the potential to sway popular opinion on current issues based upon its reporting; which is not always truthful or accurate.

In the elections, media play a vital role, during the race. Their supportive and positive reporting or their negative coverings can greatly influenced the outcome.

We need Christian news stations and services, - educational, sports, entertainment - to bring transformation to the mountain of media.

We will empower Christians who are gifted for it and are called into this type of work.

Christians who will report righteously and truthfully in the midst of the secular marketplace.

God s’ Purpose and Calling on the believers in the Media is for :

• Prophetic voice of the nation to have a local and national platform

• Proclaimers of truth (to expose unrighteousness)

• Accountability for the leaders in the mountains of culture

• Unbiased information source

“A r t an d media are the means and the bridge over which the current philosophy of the philosophers reaches the general culture.” (Francis Schaeffer)

In this mountain we find some of the most influential forces shaping our society. This mountain includes  performing arts, entertainment, sport, movies, theatre, music, fashion, television, electronic games, social media, and all matters that entertain or amuse us. They drive the cultural tastes, values and standards of a nation’s citizens, particularly its youth. With a heavy reliance on the strong appeal of sex, drugs and alcohol, the arts and entertainment industries wield significant influence. The body of Christ needs powerful, righteous men and women who are not afraid to take their God-given talent into the arts and entertainment arenas. People ready to further His purposes, while impacting those who are lost in darkness and would not otherwise be interested in any kind of Christian message in traditional forms.

Within these 7 pillars of society there are many sub groupings, which brings clarity to understanding the main groups. Additionally there are overlaps in some fields.

We need to be clear about the identity of a mountain group because each sphere has its own ruling spirits and it is wise to understand the enemy that opposes us in each territory.

The 7 Mountains AND Fulfilling our God Given Assignment.

Society is changed/transformed through all 7 mountains.

Economy, Family, Education, Spirituality,  Media, Celebration & Government.

One of the strategies God used to  transform society is through the marketplace/workplace, in each of these mountains.

“Those who occupy the high places have the influence”.

It is important for all of us to  understand that our work is our God given assignment.

We Have to Go and Occupy each mountain.
